MnM Hockey Podcast - Darnell Nurse, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres and More
Wednesday Feb 12, 2020
Wednesday Feb 12, 2020
The guys are back with another week of NHL news and analysis. They start by taking a look at the Darnell Nurse extension and what it means for the Edmonton Oilers. Discussing whether or not the guys like it and is it a fair deal? Alex has some mixed feelings, however, realizes there have been worse deals signed.
Next, they take a look at the rest of the Western Conference and some talking points around there. Wondering what may happen as the NHL Trade Deadline approaches. Following that, they shift to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Jack Campbell trade. Chace gives his thoughts on all the players involved. Alex recognizes it is a good deal but is worried about the number of assets Toronto has been throwing around.
Finally, they take a look at everything that has been going on with the Buffalo Sabres. Why are they still a mess and whose fault is that? What can be done to fix it and what is there to expect? Alex and Chace debate whether Buffalo is really underperforming what realistic expectations would have been, or did they just get lucky with a hot streak earlier that diluted everyone's thoughts on the Sabres? Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

MnM Hockey Podcast - NHL Awards, News and More
Sunday Feb 02, 2020
Sunday Feb 02, 2020
The guys are back with another week of the MnM Hockey Podcast! Today, they look at some recent signings that have happened as well as the NHL Awards. The PWHA released their mid-season NHL Awards so Alex and Chace did the same.
To start, they looked at the Zack Kassian and Marcus Pettersson extensions and what it means for each team. Alex and Chace agree on one thing, the Kassian one could look bad in a few year's time. The cap space, or lack thereof, for Edmonton is concerning. However, they do at least understand the Pettersson one more.
After that, they take a look at all the NHL Awards. Giving their mid-season winners for the Hart, Norris, Vezina, Selke, Jack Adams, and Calder Trophies. They also compare them to what the PWHA had and say why they agree or disagree with them. Alex and Chace wrap things up with taking a quick look ahead to the trade deadline and what is in store for a few different teams. Tune in for all of that and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!
