The guys are back with another busy week of news. They take a look at a multitude of NHL coaches that have been fired for different reasons. First, they touch on the Jim Montgomery situation and why it is so strange even among everything that has gone on. They talk about how closed and broad the terminology was and what it may mean moving forward. Next, they take a look at John Hynes and Peter DeBoer who were both fired for bad team performances and no allegations. Alex and Chace look and compare the two coaches, asking questions like is it really their fault? Alex believes DeBoer will find a job very soon if he wished to have one.
Following that, they take a look at the brutal Detroit Red Wings. Asking why they are this bad and wondering if they should have seen this coming. The guys try and plan out a future for Detroit and ask who all should they trade? This then ties into Zach Bogosian asking for a trade out of the Buffalo Sabres organization. Alex and Chace have a much more serious episode than usual today. For starters, they take a look at the Bill Peters situation which eventually led to him resigning. They try and take a look at hockey culture as a whole and what to learn from this. As well, exactly how to try and fix this so things like this never happen again going forward. Talking about morals, right and wrong, and fixing past mistakes. After Bill Peters, the guys take a look at the Mike Babcock and Mitch Marner situation. Chace wonders how Babcock would have ever thought this was a good idea. Alex thinks that Nazem Kadri and Tyler Bozak showed character by how they handled the situation. Overall, the guys try and look at how it may have affected things like contract negotiations and whether or not we should view them differently.
Lastly, the guys look at a trip of suspensions. Alex wants Robert Bortuzzo out for much longer, however, he actually agrees with the Erik Cernak suspension. After, they also look at the Alexander Kerfoot suspension. Comparing the three and asking what about the length and should injuries affect the outcome? Lastly, the guys talk about the Department of Player Safety and why they need to improve.

The guys are back and they have a very busy week of content. The Toronto Maple Leafs fired Mike Babcock and that is all that is on the mind. Alex and Chace look at every angle. Was this a good idea, why did it happen, and could it have happened sooner? Looking at the pros and cons of Babcock's time with the Maple Leafs. They also look at what Sheldon Keefe may do differently and why it may be important to future success.
Next, the guys take a look at the Garnet Hathaway suspension. They talk about if it was too much or too little for spitting on a player. The guys also discuss how much worse is spitting vs licking? As well, should Erik Gudbranson have been punished?
Finally, they take a look at the Matt Calvert situation and what to do if a player is on the ice. Alex has a rant about why the league has a rule in place and why the refs screwed up big. Almost every underlying number has been very positive for Vancouver. The guys take a look at how sustainable this is. On the flip side of that, they look at Barry Trotz's early-season success. Alex asks the question can a coach control save percentage to a higher degree?

The guys are back with an action-packed week to look at. First, they take a look at the Roman Josi and Austin Watson contract extensions. Breaking down what it means now and for the future. Alex thinks the Predators came out poor in one of the deal but understands the other one. Next, they take a look at some injuries, including the Gabriel Landeskog one. Alex and Chace break down what it means for the Colorado Avalanche and what they need to do to keep afloat.
After the news, Alex and Chace take a look at some NHL Franchises to avoid. They each make a list of the five NHL Franchises they would least like to take over as a General Manager today. Whether that be because of poor contracts or ownership, they take a look at who has the bleakest future. Trying to figure out what would even need to be done to fix it and how realistic that might be. Overall, this is certainly not a list where you want to see your team. The guys are back with a full schedule of things to talk about. The NHL Season is back and Alex and Chace look to talk about all their early thoughts for the year. They start by looking at the Nico Hischier contract and discussing why this could be a very big steal in a few seasons. Looking at if he is underrated or not and why people shouldn't be upset about this. The guys then switch to the New Jersey Devils start and also will Taylor Hall stay or not?
Next, they take a look at the Toronto Maple Leafs and their complaints with Head Coach Mike Babcock. There has been lots of talk about Babcock, however, Alex thinks a lot of the complaining is unjustified. Believing that Babcock has done what many fans have asked him to do for the past few seasons and that the complaining is unjustified. Once they have a conversation about the backup role, they decide to look around the league at other teams starts.
Finally, the guys take a look at teams like the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres and talk about why the early-season points matter. Looking at what kind of hockey they would have to play to keep pace and make the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs this season.

Alex and Chace take a look at all 8 teams in the division. They start with only having one team in their "out of the playoffs" tier. With reasons of cap space, an ageing core, and no depth the guys talk about what would have to go right for playoffs.
Next, they take a look at 4 possible teams that could push for a wildcard spot. Breaking down the likeliness of it for all teams. The guys talk about how goaltending could be the difference and what exactly each team should expect this season. The middle of the 2019-20 Pacific Division is incredibly tight and even the smallest addition could make or break a teams year.
Finally, the guys take a look at the 3 teams that should be looking for the division lead. With a pretty clear number one, they weigh the next two options for positioning in the division. The guys are back after they looked at some RFA deals for the third part in their preview series. Alex and Chace take a look at the 2019-20 Central Division in today's episode. As always, they split the division into three tiers. Missing playoffs, wild card hunt, and division leaders.
For the first time, they only have one team in the bottom tier. The guys agree the outlook for just one team in this division is pretty poor. With little cap space, it has made it hard for them to find any depth and that will show. However, they try and look at what could go regardless.
Next, they take a look at a group of teams that are in the middle tier. The guys take a look at what is happening with Dustin Byfuglien, Patrik Laine, and Kyle Connor and how it may affect their team. Chace thinks they may be in huge trouble if Byfuglien doesn't return.
Finally, the guys take a look at the top three in the division. They also agree there are a very obvious top two teams and then a mix of potential after that.
